to cycling, we have collected some useful links to help educate and inform.
These link include vehicle codes pertaining to bicycles,
tips about riding safely and legally, and even a link to the BikeEd
flier about the classes that are taught locally by League of American Bicyclist

is proud to announce an opportunity for cycling enthusiasts to support
local businesses that are helping us transform SLO County into a safer
and more livable community by promoting cycling and walking for everyday
transportation and recreation. Look for the Bike
Friendly Business logo at SLO County restaurants, hotels and stores.
Cycling Skills Course Makes Debut: "The Art of Cycling"
Refine your cycling skills. Ride your bike confidently and safely for
transportation and recreation, in traffic and elsewhere. Learn to
be visible, be predictable, ride between and through intersections,
ride in groups, avoid crashes and falls - and more. The course takes
place over three meetings. The next course is scheduled for Tuesday,
July 11th (6PM-9PM); Tuesday, July 18th (6PM-9PM); and Saturday, July
22nd (8:30AM-noon). Please register in advance. Classes are open
to all cyclists in San Luis Obispo County 16 and older. Bicycles are
necessary only on Saturday. Instructors certified by the League of
Prices range from $9.99 for a “Bike Culture on the Rise”
thong to $26.99 for a hooded sweatshirt, plus tax and shipping. Other
items include baby clothes, tee-shirts, tank tops, beer steins,
and bike messenger bags. Buy one. Heck, buy 'em all.

We are interested in ways
to convince individuals about the benefits of commuting to work. Our
recent Bike Month was a great example of the fun that's involved with
riding a bike. We also offer a series of columns by current board members
